Gail Henderson-King
Watercolor
The natural world and cultural landscapes continually inspire me. Through watercolor painting, I strive to highlight individual elements of nature and landscapes, such as mountains, fruit, flowers, water, and animals. I love to play with colors and textures to create visual effects within my paintings.
Bio
Creating art has long been integral to my life since high school when I worked in clay, charcoal, and fashion sewing. In college, studying landscape architecture really opened my eyes to the detailed beauty of natural and built environments and using sketching and watercolors to illustrate design ideas became second nature. I rediscovered watercolor painting about five years ago after decades of professional design work and now refer to my work and travels for inspiration.
