Bio
Kate Rooney grew up in the vibrant art scene of Washington, D.C. with its world-famous art museums and numerous small art galleries. Her father, Tom Rooney, was a well-known sculptor and art professor who also influenced Kate’s love of art. Since those early years and obtaining an MEd, Kate has attended many workshops and classes across the U.S. and participated in numerous shows both solo and group. She has always found inspiration for her creativity, whether living in a city or countryside, but is particularly intrigued by the beauty in Nature. Kate works in oil, watercolor and acrylic; focusing on intimate, vibrantly colorful compositions. She currently resides in Northern Vermont and continues to be inspired by the surrounding beauty of every season.
