Vikki Day

VikksArt
Watercolor, Oil and Digital Graphic Design

I explore the beauty of the world in watercolor and oil mediums. I have only been painting for a few years and at this point in my journey, I would describe myself as a realist. I strive to recreate what the eye sees capturing the essence of life but in a painterly manner.

Bio

Vikki Day is a Vermont-based artist whose career is a vibrant tapestry of restoration, digital design, and fine art. After moving to Vermont from Chicago in 1990, Vikki gained recognition for her whimsically dyed wooden bowls, becoming a featured artist at Frog Hollow Galleries in Middlebury and Burlington. Her background as a furniture touch-up artist in Chicago – a role requiring surgical precision in color matching – laid the foundation for her transition into the world of fine art.

Practicality led to her career in the corporate worlds of radio and higher education where she developed her graphic design skills. After several years designing posters and logos, Vikki picked up her paintbrush again in 2024. While she began her return with classic oils, she has since found a home in the fluid, challenging world of watercolor painting. A lifelong student of the craft, Vikki continuously evolves her technique and style through digital study and the shared wisdom of her local artist community.
